13 Key Facts That You Should Know About Tokyo Olympics 2021

Olympics are the most coveted event which are continuously being held since over 125-year-old, though the games have their origins more than two millennia ago in Rome. Olympics this year are being held in Tokyo, Japan, and were inaugurated with the grand opening in Tokyo’s Olympic Stadium. The event is going to be held from 23rd July to 8 August, 2021.

Though the Olympics were to be held in 2020 due to the corona pandemic the event was delayed by 12 months.

The reason behind this is that the games were supposed to be held in Tokyo 2020 and all the merchandise that were to be used were made way before the game. And if the organizers changed the name, all the products would become useless. Last year in March, all the torches, medals, and branding items were made using the name Tokyo 2020, and changing the name at the last moment would mean huge additional costs.
